ATOPOS
ATOPOS is an international research network composed of researchers located in different countries, representing a variety of academic background, who investigate the impact of digital technologies on several spheres of society.
Founded in 2005, within the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), it aims to produce innovative and interdisciplinary knowledge, assuming the obligations to coach researchers, producing publications and to extend and share the results of investigations through a dialogue with various sectors of society.
ATOPOS rely on researchers at undergraduate and postgraduate studies, coming from Social Sciences, Communications, History, Architecture, Biology, Philosophy, Physics, Literature and Education.

AION
Ongoing Research: Net-activism – collaborative actions on digital networks – exploratory international research which includes a comparative study that aims to analyze the forms of leadership and citizenship that are being developed in digital networks and identify key characteristics of social and political meanings of such actions developed through interactions with digital communicative technology. Promotion: Foundation for Research Support ofSão Paulo (FAPESP).
Native media (in partnership with LEER – Laboratory Studies of Ethnicity and Racism – FFLCH – USP). The cornerstone of this project is that the appropriation of new communication technologies by social minorities opens up an original age of its direct action in Brazilian society, marked by the electronic self-representation. The project is constituted of three main activities currently being presented: Indigenous Chair, Permanent Observatory of Native Media and Native Media Seminars.
Project (concluded): Academic “Slab” - approved and funded by the Extension and Culture Department at USP – This project aimed to connect knowledge – local and academic knowledge – expanding discussions about digital contemporaneity to the “slabs” in São Paulo suburbs, by promoting meetings between representatives of suburbs and researchers of digital subject.
DIANOÍA
Main Goals of the Area: study and application of learning processes in digital and reticular contexts.
Application: Continuing Education and Other Educational Activities, including Distance Education and Special Education.
Event: USP 2.0 Seminar
EUTELÉIA
Objective: The focus of this research area is the collaborative practices in the market economy mediated by reticular architecture.
